NEW YEAR'S PRAYER

Dear Lord, You've given me
A bright New Year to start.
Another chance to be the person
That Your love ordained I'd be.
I've asked you to forgive
My past mistakes.
And now I know I've started
With a fresh, clean page.
Transform my fumbling,
Feeble scrawls
Into Your masterpiece of love,
That reaches forth,
In spite of all my failures
And my sin,
To make my life more meaningful.
I long to be
Completely yielded to Your will.
Please help me, Lord,
To be a mirror of Your grace.
For You're my strength,
My breath,
My life.
And nothing is impossible
With you.
