A
spotless New Year has been given to us,
So let us rejoice and be glad!
Rejoice in the good things that happened our way,
But also the things that were sad.
For
times in the valley of sorrow and pain,
Were times with the Lord, spent in prayer.
And as we look back, we can see how He worked
Them together, for good, with His care.
We
rejoice in the days we’re allotted on earth
To share God’s great gift with all men.
And we pray we’ll be faithful in showing His love,
And how He can cleanse hearts from sin.
We
rejoice in the future, for Christ has prepared
A mansion when life here is o’er,
Where we’ll worship our Savior, and kneel at His feet,
With our loved ones who’ve gone on before.
Yes,
each day is one that our dear Lord has made,
And though we don’t know what ‘twill bring,
We still can rejoice and be glad, for we know
We are safe in the arms of our King.
